For many people, their pain point is that to buy something online that only knows whether it is suitable after receiving the actual product.
Furniture is one of these products. So I want to make an application specifically for this kind of virtual shopping for furniture.
This project is a personal project. I conduct research, content strategy, wireframes, and visual design for this AR furniture helper mobile application.
Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Keynote
When users start this application, the first thing they need to do is tab the AR button and upload information about the furniture they want to buy. They can upload the image of the furniture. In addition to uploading photos, users also need to fill in the actual size of the furniture. The size can be known on the website that they want to buy the furniture. When our app knows this information, it can turn the furniture into a virtual 3D model of the same size as the actual one.
Then users scan their room slowly and will find that the furniture can appear in their room through their lens. They can change the position of the furniture by adjusting the shooting position and moving the furniture on the screen to determine whether the furniture is suitable for their room. No matter the appearance or size. And we store the 3D model for furniture the users have uploaded, they can constantly switch furniture for comparison.
The high-fidelity wireframes can give a clear direction for my future visual design. These wireframes contain the basic logic and main features of my product.
